Investing in women and their communities
Empowered women empower the world.
"When we invest in women and girls, we are investing in the people who invest in everyone else."
- Melinda Gates
Investing in women means investing in communities. Women are integral change-makers in their communities. Hope Sews envisions new possibilities for resilient, female entrepreneurs. We bring artisanal, global garments to socially conscious customers and invest 5% of profits into resource independence and skill-building for women entrepreneurs.
Thanks to our customers, we recently launched #TheVoltaProject to support 30+ women entrepreneurs in the Volta Region of Ghana. Your Hope Sews purchase and support translates into empowerment via:
Our partnership with Pan-African Savings & Loans (PASL) equips seamstresses with microfinance loans to purchase sewing machines and other resources.
We partner with local nonprofits and NGOs to offer lifeskill training, including financial literacy, healthcare, and business training.
WOMEN EMPOWERING WOMEN
Supporting these seamstresses, who are leaders in their community, enables them to train and employ more women, creating a sustainable ripple effect.
